Perhaps your fella died/emigrated/got cold feet/realised you were too good for him/was only in it for the challenge and then felt satisfied enough when you gave him your number? Perhaps his girlfriend found the number and threw it away? Or maybe he's just been too busy to call you yet and still will? They're all equally likely, but if he shows up again, play hard to get and don't ask him why he didn't phone you. Quite often, even they don't know the answer.
